My entries aren't appearing on my other device

The journal syncs through your own private iCloud, so both devices need to be signed in to the same Apple ID with iCloud Drive turned on. Check Settings → your name → iCloud on each device.

Sync also needs a network connection and can take a moment to catch up. The app's Settings screen has a Journal health section that shows the current sync status.

How do I change the prompts?

Open Edit. You can add your own questions, rename or remove the ones you don't use, reorder them, and choose how each one is answered — a note, a checklist, a slider, a rating, a mood, a simple counter, a photo of the day, or a question of the day that gives you a different one each morning.

Removing a prompt doesn't erase your history. Past days keep showing the prompts they were written with.

How do I get my journal out?

Settings has a CSV export that produces a spreadsheet of every entry. Your journal is yours, and it should never be trapped in an app.

Sleep or step counts aren't filling in

Those come from Apple Health, and only if you've allowed it. Check Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Day and Night Journal and confirm the categories are on. The app only ever reads from Health — it never writes to it.

How do I delete everything?

Settings has Delete account & all data, which permanently erases every entry and custom field from your device and your iCloud. It can't be undone.
